Directs and coordinates activities of Purchasing personnel engaged in purchasing and distributing raw materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies in organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Report to: CEO; Supervises up to 10 purchasing Officer
Main Responsibilities:
1. Select supplier and develop Supplier Selection Criteria and Strategy. 2. Establish negotiation strategy for Purchasing Team. 3. Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices. 4. Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material 5. availability and prepares market analysis reports. 5. Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy. 6. Key interface with Engineering and drives Early Supplier Involvement activities. 7. Reviews prospective supplier facilities to determine their eligibility to supply Yantai. 8. Achieve annual cost reduction objectives 9. Conduct periodic market tests and follow through as appropriate to achieve cost reductions 10. Ensure appropriate detailed cost analysis and negotiations are performed to achieve best value 11. Perform supplier capacity reviews to determine potential supplier constraints and establish actions as appropriate to eliminate same 12. Provide Monthly Report to Management of Purchasing identifying major issues and progress against major objectives 13. Ensure Commodity Overviews are maintained completely and accurately
Vocational Skills
1. Bachelor Degree with 5-8 years automotive purchasing experience. 2. Prefer sunroof experience. 3. Basic understanding of Automotive quality systems is required 4. Proven track record for achieving cost reductions 5. Strong cost analysis and negotiation skills 6. Familiarity dealing with multiple currencies is required 7. Must be well experienced in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
